The Tournament organised by Games&Sports Assn., Baktawng (Mizoram) since 1945, this year it was sponsored by Late Mr Laltlanmawia's wife Pi Lalrii with Pu Tlanmawia's brother, the ex-Minister of Govt. of Mizoram Shri Er.Lalrinawma, the Tournament was held during 18th-28th Mar, 2024. The game itself is already a challenging game added by the unwavering spirit of the Players. One of the Oldest spectator is of 90 yrs of age, a prominent hockey players in his time, who never missed to watch the game whenever a tournamnet is organised. No 1st class Turf yet the Game flourished, the Trophy may be nothing but just a big Dekchi, and the cash prize will not buy you a new branded car; nothing could kill the vibes of their Passion for Hockey. A total of 51 Teams participated in this Tournament, and even though there's a big wedding being happened on the Final day, a large number of fans, hockey lovers and supporters turned up at the field not caring a bit if they gonna missed a big wedding feast in the evening. Their enthusiasm is something not to be taken lightly, we hope and pray that someday in the future, a remarkable Hockey stadium may stand in this very ground.
