He was a remarkable person, a retired Director of Sports & Youth Services(GOM); and definitely someone we never should take for granted; who played the most essential Key role to the presence of the first two Hockey turf in Mizoram (Thenzawl and Kawnpui)- he was the one every successful players should pay their gratitude to; especially the Hockey Player- it was him who paved the way for the then impossible path for the Women’s hockey centre; the very Centre that birthed several notable Hockey players such as Rosalind L.Ralte (International Player & Now Coach Railway; K.Lalremruati (Player&Umpire-International & now Northern Railway Staff), Lalrothuami (International Player & now Coach SYS); Ramngaihzuali (International Player & now Central Railway Staff); H.Lalruatfeli (International Player & now Central Railway Staff); Lalhlunmawii (International Player & now Central Railway Staff); Lalremsiami (International Player & now RCF Staff); Lalrindiki (International Player & now Central Railway Staff) & Marina Lalramnghaki (International Player & now South Eastern Railway Staff); and KT-Lalhlimpuii- National Umpire; Lalzawnchhungi & R.Lalnunmawii- both Coach SYS; Lalhmingkimi- Coach Jharkhand State; Lalthantluangi & Lalrinpuii- India Junior Player; furthermore some player viz. Lalruatfeli, Lalneihpuii, Agnes Malsawmkimi, Laldintluangi, Lalbiaksiami, Laltlanchhungi & Lalpeksangi – all hails from the same centre(Thenzawl) have been recruited to different NCOE centres- Delhi, Bhopal, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kolkata.

The Centre, being now called STC, SAI, Thenzawl was built up from scratch and it was clearly evident that it survives and thrives to what it has become now with the sole intervention and attention it received from Mr Zoliana Royte; the then Director, SYS, GOM. If that was not the case- we may never have Lalremsiami as an Olympian.

We salute and thank Our Fallen Hero Pu Zoliana Royte, who left us for a better place on 15th Dec, 2019- - Your Life is a blessing for us- a Treasure we Honoured; Your Legacy will never Fade- We will keep Your Light shining on till our last breath.

In honouring the uncountable contribution he had- Aizawl District Hockey Association organised Zoliana Royte’s Memorial Tournament at Thenzawl Hockey Ground in collaboration with Serchhip District Hockey Association and Thenzawl Hockey Association funded by Pi Rozingi (w/o Late Zoliana Royte)- 6 Men Teams and 4 Women teams had participated in this Tournament- Thenzawl Venghlun Br. YMA Women’s Team and Thenzawl Vengthlang Br. YMA Men’s Team are The Champions in their own category; Lalramdinga, Vengthlang Br YMA (Men)& Rochanhlui, Venghlun Br. YMA (Women) are both Best Goalkeeper Awardees and Players of the Tournament Award goes to K.Lalmuansanga, Field veng Br. YMA (M) and F. Vanlalhriatlawmi, Venghlun Br.YMA(W) respectively.

Hockey Mizoram is Proud to be a part of this Memorable Tournament- a stepping stone in uplifting the game we all very much love- So, we Shout non stop- 'HOCKEY VUL ZEL RAWH SE'!!!!!!!
